Be focused what you’ve got

 

We sometimes look at something we don’t have while we are living in this life. If this happening occurs again and again, we become more jealousy about someone’s talent, ability, or faculty. Instead of appreciating what we have got something good. If this situation get worse, we take ourselves as a bum or not a necessary person and give up on ourselves. So, how can we overcome the state of these?

 

Today’s text is offering an answer for this! Let me get this on this way. Let me tell you one simple funny story. Do you know the story name that Rabbit and the Tortious? We have been listening to this story since we were little. There’s a reason why people keep telling this story from person to person. There is a maxim in this story. In other words, there’s an insight. As we all know, They live in different area. For rabbits, their habitat is land. For turtle, there habitat is in water.

 

One day, these two animal decided to have a race on the land. This race had been started because rabbit wanted to boast that how he faster than turtle. The rabbit was mocking the turtle. Finally, they decided to have a race to find who is faster. The race has begun, the rabbit started to speed up as always it used to do. Otherwise, the turtle walked as if an old lemon car. After while, when the rabbit came almost to the finish line, the rabbit fell asleep because the tortious slow made the rabbit to be relived.

 

This is story about if you run steady, you will win the race at the end. Actually, this race was ridiculous! However, surprisingly the tortious won the race. How can it happen? How come? The reason that tortious can win the race is that the tortious believed his patience, steady pace, and diligent. In fact, the tortious can be faster than the rabbit, of course. There are lots of disadvantages on land for tortious. In spite of the tortious could run slowly, it could win the race, because it focused on its talent of patient and diligent. This story might be cheesy for you guys it has a point.

 

We are now living in this world which is full of high back ground,and SPEC. To be prepared just like other people might be the shortcut to be a spoilt life. Most people focus on something that they don’t have. Especially, if someone says, “that is better.” We don’t think properly, which we just follow without considering it.

 

Let’s be back to the text, we can find one boy who won because of the same reason. The just focused on what he has. Just like tortious! Who is that person? Yes, he is David! He didn’t have any equipment to fight like shield or sword. But David didn’t ask for special equipment to fight like sword or shield. He took only five small pebbles and a sling to fight against Goliath. Maybe People might think that he is pity. Especially, he looks weak to not only Philistine soldiers but also Israel soldiers.

 

Something that people can find anywhere, looks like nothing compare to Goliath is something special weapon for David. David was so accustomed to it. Even if it looks small and nothing, sling can be a special and powerful weapon because David has it. David kill Goliath at once! David, he just focused what he has. He might think that these pebbles and this sling looked nothing and small. But David realized that these five pebbles are given from GOD! That’s why he just did it. With no doubt. He trained himself with something he has. Then, the sling became a powerful weapon that is able to kill wildlife like lions and bears.

 

What is yours? There is definitely something that only you have. What is you Talent! You have to be focused on that in your life. If you are obsessing to follow other people, you will just become a crown in a circus. We must find out our “talent” by focusing in yourself, and we will become a winner like David. I wish these people in this house can win in your life, in every moment by focusing on your talent!

Almighty God! We are so thankful to you. We all have our talent from you. It is very special, and precious. We know we all have it. Now, I want to focus on that talent from you! Please help us finding that talent to be focused what we have. God please guide us!
